Eagle's Nest Ministries and any schools under its banner, are a result of God’s calling in 1993. Celia was privileged to be educated in Cape Town, and after living in UK for 21 years, raising her children, and studying for a BA (hons) in music and primary education, she returned to Cape Town to begin establishing schools in areas of the greatest need.
She founded Eagle's Nest CPS and has been there for the past 13 years and she believes it is time to start looking at the future and the possible next school. She is married to Dave, they have 4 daughters and 10 grandchildren.
There are three bible verses in particular which she holds dear:
- Isaiah 40:31 "but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.",
- Zephaniah 3:17 "The Lord your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” and
- Colossians 3:17 "And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him."
Anel's career started in the wine industry, where she ended up as a Client Relations and Logistics Manager at a prominent wine farm. God used her passion for the children of Africa to lead her back to Him. She quit her lucrative career and went back to university where she completed her degree in BA Socio-Dynamics, with the aim of social justice and community development. Her husband, Evan, signed her up for a scribing session through his work in 2017 where she met Celia and the rest is, as they say, history. She hopes to continue to build on the foundations layed in Wallacedene to help communities across Africa.
